[dropcap style=”font-size:35px; color: #610B0B;”] I[/dropcap]t’s quite funny actually. I hadn’t listened to any Hip Hop for a very long time until I heard Macklemore at Chase Jarvis’ Creative Live show. When I heard that Mac Miller was coming to Luxembourg I was kinda keen on photographing the gig. And I wasn’t disappointed. The venue wasn’t sold out but the fans that were there made it worth his while to perform.
On a technical note: The show started with 4 Lasers and a LOT of smoke. I have to say that it had me worried for a moment. But the smoke soon subsided to Mac Miller and the lights were ok. The show was a bit harder to photograph since the lights changed frequently in terms of power. A lot of tweaking was required. This is where being able to check the back of the camera in an instant while keeping an eye on the show is a very useful skill. I used only one lens for this gig, namely the 28-75mm F2.8.
