“Wind of change” was one of those songs that will always remain with me as a great song for a great time I had when it was in the charts. I have missed Scorpions shows in the past mostly due to other gigs on the same night. This Year however it was Sabaton or Scorpions and I though I would choose Scorpions as I felt I owed it to them. Boy what a show ….. never before have I been finger pointed several times during the same gig and this by the founder of the band namely Rudolf Schenker 🙂

Food for thought: After the show I was asked why I didn’t keep the two sticks that Klaus threw at me, well photographing concerts is my job and I am very very grateful for the chance to get close up to the artists. People just behind the pit paid to be there and came very early to get a spot in the first row. So I think it really is their “token” to take home where as the pictures I take is mine 😉

On a technical note: Well guys if you are photographing Scorpions and you don’t get a shot you’re doing something wrong. The light was perfect, the guys were playing around with us and the stage was huge. It nearly felt like a studio shoot to me.  The light was so good that I managed to “freeze” one of the Drumsticks Klaus Meine threw into the crowd (first pic below) . I used the whole range again from 15mm to 200mm.
