While “Die Toten Hosen” might not be a band our non German speaking friends might know they are a cult band. Created in 1982 they call themselves a live band, and I have to admit that until yesterday I wasn’t so sure. Rest assured any doubt I had got pulverised last night. In all the years I am photographing concerts I’ve never experienced a crowd so “in tune” with the band on stage. Impressive experience !!!

On a technical note: The light was quite subtle and simple for this one. To be honest with the show Campino and his guys performed on stage there is no real need for a complex light show. When I saw the stage before the show stared I wanted to start with the 70-200mm, but I wasn’t sure and seeing all the other photographer using the 70-200 I thought I would take a risk and stick with the 24-70. It turns out I made the right choice, those guys were fast and all over the place, no need to hunt them with the long lens and miss the really nice close-ups.
