The first time I’ve photographed Halestorm I was really impressed. They were on stage with Papa Roach, Buckcherry and Disturbed during the “Taste of chaos 2010” tour. It’s very rare to see such an explosive energy on stage. I’ve rarely seen a show like this one. If anyone from the band or crew is reading this, .. all I can say is : AWESOME !!!!!!!! It’s the first time I’ve seen a drummer stand on his drums and continue playing ……… and yes I mean that literally, check the pictures. Trust me, if they perform close to you, don’t miss them you will be blown away.
On a technical note: The light was good, very fast but good. I only wish I could photograph them for more than 3 songs, the band performed and awesome show. It was as fun to watch as it was to listen too. I used the 28-75mm F2.8 and the 15mm F2.8 Fisheye for this one. I had to keep the ISO quite high all through the set though.
