I know there’s a lot of speculation going around for this one. I decided a while back to spend the 15€ (shipping included) and try it. I figured spending and maybe wasting 15€ was ok compared to spending 200€ or more on the Elinchrom Skyports.Well I’ve been using these now for a few days with a couple of hundred shots, and I have to say that I love them. They sometimes misfire, but apparently that’s the case as well for the Skyports.
There’s four channels you can use them on, which are easily selectable via dip switch on the bottom of the casing. I also hooked the receiver up to one of our Elinchrom D-Lites via sync cable that comes with the RF-04/PT-04 combo. It worked like a charm. In fact we’ve ordered another set to use for studio work. I haven’t used the Skyports yet but for the price difference I will stick to these until I find a valid reason to spend the money for the Skyports.
